Enhancing or rejuvenating the face often involves improving the overall shape of the face or restoring lost volume from aging or weight loss. In the past, surgical implants were frequently used but now, with modern injectable fillers and stimulants, no surgery is required.

Unlike other injectable products such as Juvederm™, Radiesse® or Perlane®, which produce an immediate result when injected, Sculptra® works slowly by stimulating the build up of the body's natural collagen to thicken the skin. The main ingredient of Sculptra® is poly-L-lactic acid, derived from fruit acids, and it has safely been used in surgery for more than 25 years.
The improvement from Sculptra® treatments is gradual so that no one else will notice a sudden difference but the results can last for up two years. Two to five treatments are usually required, depending on the amount of volumizing desired and the benefits usually start to become visible about six weeks after the first session. The result is long lasting and looks and feels completely natural. It's an excellent choice to add volume to the cheeks, to augment the chin, to plump up the back of the hands and to enhance the jaw line.
