Volume Loss With Aging
One of the main causes of the changes we see in our face as we age is the loss of fat in our face, starting around the eyes in our 30's and next the upper cheeks. This loss of support is like a deflating balloon, causing the skin to sink down and hang, and our typical youthful heart-shaped face becomes more rectangular as our cheeks eventually become our jowls.
As the fat in the upper cheeks shrink, we begin to notice depressions under the eyes that make us look tired, and the deflating cheeks sag down to produce deep folds from the corners of the nose down to the mouth. Lines and wrinkles become visible as the collagen in the skin thins and repetitive muscle movements take their toll.
The Liquid Facelift
Replacing the volume lost with aging can restore the look of youth. The injectable fillers are substances that can be used to lift out lines, wrinkles and add volume to the face and other areas of the body.
